Davos Podcast- Challenging Students (Gates)

Once again thanks to Johnson's blog for the link to the Davos podcast with Gates' comments on technology and education. This is a quote from Johnson of what Bill said about his book (Everything Bad) and education:

"First, I think this book is one that people should read pretty broadly. It's so counter intuitive, but I think it makes a very compelling case. And it really does fit it with what our foundation has found in the educational sector, which is that a lot of the failure to achieve is not challenging the kids enough, not making it interesting enough. So paradoxically, when you make it tougher, you get a higher level of engagement."
