Google Desktop Beta
Google just came out with a new desktop. I LOVE it! Now all of my favorite things are within a click away--photos, music, websites, email, you name it! Everything I own is searchable. I have to learn how to customize it even more. I feel like I'm surrounded by my favorite stuff! Finally, the computer is becoming a personal space. Now my desktop matches my virtual identity.

My main complaint with the original Google Desktop search was that it just gobbled up memory in the background as it indexed your computer. Any sense of that with this version?
Guess what? New update...I loved it til it slowed me down incredibly!! At first it wasn't so obvious. Then, little by little my machine not only slowed but started crashing! It's been uninstalled. I was so hopeful!
seems an awful lot like MAC's spotlight, dock, and widgets, no?
(and on a MAC these things work just dandy)
